Michael Pedersen, CCO in Livespins, has kindly agreed to take part in our Q&A for CasinosHunter readers. In this interview, we discuss an absolutely groundbreaking approach that Livespins takes to online casino gambling to make it even more entertaining and advantageous. Interestingly, providers and casinos have their advantages, too! Find out more in the interview below.
About Livespins

Livespins is an interesting company that offers an interesting experience to every stakeholder in the online casino gambling industry - players, providers, casinos - by introducing an innovative concept of social gambling by introducing betting with streamers.
Many people have been talking about making online casinos more socially engaging and transforming the gambling process from solitary to more shared-within-community. However, for now, it seems that Livespins has actually stepped out with a real solution that works.
On Twitch, streams with playing slots are among the most popular categories, and in September 2021 only, over 26 million hours of content with slots has been streamed, but this experience is one-way. Livespins takes it further and enables the gamblers to make bets together with their favorite streamers.
At the time of writing this overview, Livespins works with over 20 studios and even more are to be added. There are 22 streamers on the platform and the company constantly looks for new talents. Online casinos and software providers have their share of benefits because their brands are promoted among real casino players, while players feel safer when betting with the streamers and interacting with the communities.
Real experience, lower financial risks, and the power of community are the main values of Livespins. It takes effort to socially charge online casino gambling and create an improved gambling ecosystem which is better for everyone. Currently, Livespins partners with Real Time Gaming, Yggdrasil, Fantasma Games, CasinoFriday, and other brands.
Q&A Session With Michael Pedersen

Hello and thank you for finding time to answer our questions! We have read about Livespins and the concept is amazing, seems to totally take both online casino gambling and streaming to a new level. Can you please tell us a bit more about the concept or maybe how it was invented?
Livespins is on a mission to socially charge the online casino experience and create a totally new category of gameplay. The Livespins experience sits within the casino lobby, and our team of superstar streamers create highly entertaining streams using the hundreds of games we have onboarded from the biggest providers in the business, including the likes of Relax Gaming, Yggdrasil and iSoftBet.
The player experience is taken to the next level through the ability to get directly involved by betting behind the action taking place across the reels.
They also have the option to interact with each other and the streamer throughout, and to also add reactions and emojis. Whether they win or lose, they’re guaranteed to have a fun, thrilling, unique experience.
Livespins actually started life as a feature for operator Casinofriday.com, but we realized it had huge potential being offered to other brands so that’s what we did, spinning it off into a separate business unit with its own management team, tech stack and funding.
As far as we understand, the values of Livespins for the players are shared experiences, lower risks because you bet together with others, and community. Can you please tell us more about your vision of online casino gambling together with Livespins? What are the benefits for the player?

Online casino play is often quite solitary, but with Livespins players can enjoy a highly social experience with like-minded individuals that love streaming and enjoy the excitement of online betting.
The way Livespins works is that all players and the streamer bet together on exactly the same spin, meaning that everyone is in the same boat, win or lose, which in turn creates a very social and engaging experience.
The demand for online casino and slot streaming content is incredibly high, and we’re here to help operators, studios and streamers capitalise on this to deliver an interactive, engaging, edge-of-the-seat player experience. We also bring responsible gambling to the fore – because Livespins sits within the casino lobby, players are protected by all of the safe gaming tools the operator must have in place as part of its license requirements.
Do players differ from market to market?
Casino and slot streaming is a global phenomenon with a significant, growing fanbase right across the world.
From Europe to North America, Asia and beyond, streaming is taking the world by storm and is only going to become more popular.
There are perhaps some differences in the types of slots that players in different markets like to watch being streamed, and certain streamers have greater appeal in some countries than others, but that’s why we’ve been prolific in our onboarding of studios so that casinos and streamers can access the content that appeals to their specific audiences. Operators can also bring in their own brand ambassadors as streamers and use them to ramp up player engagement.
There are also benefits for online casino software providers, right? They can get greater exposure due to Livespins.
They can indeed. Not only can our streamers use their games in their streams, but they can do things like unboxing new titles and talking players through the gameplay, bonus features and so on. Livespins also offers studios a different commercial model to traditional streaming. We actually pay studios to be on the platform, and they also earn commission from the bet behinds that are placed by players when the streamer is using one of their slots. Last, but certainly not least, Livespins is a great discovery tool for players to experience game titles and providers they might never have tried before, which in turn can help facilitate a large share of wallet for the provider.
Can we talk numbers, please? Can you share how many casinos and software providers work with Livespins, or how many streamers do?
We now have more than 20 studios integrated into the Livespins platform and will be onboarding more over the coming 12 months. Our team of streamers stands at 22 currently and we’re always looking to bring in more top streaming talent. Livespins has already signed deals with operators such as Casino Friday, Campeon Gaming as well as WynnBet in the US. In 2023, we are shifting focus from onboarding studios to joining forces with more operators, so expect to see Livespins roll out across hundreds of online casino brands in the coming months and years.
Are there any licenses, or certifications for your software? Because Livespins is not a casino and not a provider, but something completely new…
Great question and you are absolutely right, we sit somewhat in the middle of the value chain. It depends on the jurisdiction, but in most cases, we do require to be licensed exactly like any other game provider.
What markets do you work at, currently?
We’re live with operators in core European markets and will be making our US debut with WynnBet shortly. We see North America as having huge potential for Livespins – operators really understand how entertainment and gambling converge and, of course, Livespins sits perfectly within this.
Asia is another big streaming market and one with plenty of opportunities for us to explore. Ultimately, we’ll look to take Livespins into markets where there is an appetite for streaming and online casino and where operators are licensed and regulated.
We’ve seen that Livespins has already had a meeting in Metaverse, that’s fun. What is your opinion on Metaverse in terms of online casino gambling?
The Metaverse is an exciting space, and we are following this closely. I think it’s still early days and the coming years will tell how our industry will adapt to this new opportunity and which initiatives will succeed and which will not. For Livespins, this is not directly related at this stage but who knows what the future brings. We always keep an open eye on new innovations and ways to entertain.
