Sports Betting
Sports betting is possible in Arkansas both in person and online, and there are also three legally regulated mobile applications available to bettors in the state. This innovative and positive change has been stimulated by the new law offered in 2021 and finally approved in 2022. The gambling age in Arkansas for making bets on sports is 21.
Casinos
Land-based commercial casinos are currently illegal, and there are no tribal casino facilities in the state today. However, there are two so-called racinos, one in Hot Springs and one in West Memphis, that offer some table games with certain features of gambling, and bets on horse and dog races. According to the gambling age in AR, one has to be 21 years old to enter and bet.
Poker
Live poker sessions are only possible in the two racinos in the state. Live poker cash games with high bets and wins, or poker tournaments, are not possible in Arkansas. Home poker parties are also illegal under the current law.
Online poker is illegal since online casinos in the state are illegal. While there is no separate law in Arkansas that prohibits online poker, it is deemed illegal until it is officially recognized as legal.
Fantasy Sports
Daily fantasy sports are allowed in the state for all people that are 18 years old and older.
Lottery
For the lottery, the legal age for gambling in Arkansas is 18. Lottery has been legal in the state since 2009 when Arkansas joined the Multi-State Lottery Association. Today, Powerball and Mega Millions lottery tickets are available at retail. Online lottery tickets and video lottery are still illegal.
Bingo
Residents and guests of the state can play bingo games if they are 18 years old and older. Bingo is allowed for charity, as well as raffles. Organizations that start Bingo events should not profit from the games. Online Bingo or electronic Bingo are prohibited.
Horse Racing
Horse racing is legal in the state and bets on horses are also allowed, but only to people that are 18 years of age and older. Also, fun fact – jockeys in colors are not allowed to enter the betting zone.
